Guests at a glamping site or holiday park usually arrive in the afternoon, settle in, and then start asking questions in the evening, once reception has closed. How does the hot tub work? What is the Wi-Fi password? Where do the bins go? What time is check-out? For the operator, that often means a phone that never stops.
The questions that come up most
- Wi-Fi: the network and password.
- Hot tub: how to use it, covers, and any rules.
- Stove or heating: how to light it or turn it on safely.
- Bins and recycling: what goes where.
- Check-out: time and what to do with keys.
- Food: where to eat nearby and opening times.
- Who to call: for an urgent problem, and for anything that can wait until morning.
Put the answers where the questions happen
Guests ask these questions in the unit, so that is where the answers should be. A tag or plate inside each unit that opens a short guide on their phone means guests can find the answer in seconds, at any hour.
Write for a tired guest at 9pm
- Put Wi-Fi at the top.
- Use short steps for anything practical, such as the hot tub or stove.
- Add photos where they help, such as which switch to press.
- Make the emergency contact easy to find on every page.
Keep each unit's details right
If units differ, with a different stove, hot tub or Wi-Fi network, give each one its own page. Guests then see exactly what applies to them.
How TAPP helps
TAPP lets you set up a page for each unit with items such as Wi-Fi details, notes, lists, links and forms. Guests tap a TAPP tag or plate in the unit, or scan a QR code, and the page opens with no app. When something changes, you update it once and it is live straight away.
