TAPP in the real world

Built through live deployments, not theory.

TAPP has been used in live accommodation, hospitality and event settings.

The problem

Physical-to-digital communication is still too manual.

Information shared in physical spaces goes stale and gets lost. Every business with a front desk, a table or a stand knows the pattern.

01

Printed materials become outdated the moment they are printed.

02

Teams repeat the same answers to common questions across multiple channels.

03

People lose or forget important information shared only once in person.

04

Recommendations and instructions are scattered across messages, emails and verbal conversations.

05

Key details are hard to find at the moment someone needs them.

06

Updating information across multiple locations means reprinting and redistributing materials.

The TAPP way

One tap. One branded experience. Fully controlled by you.

TAPP connects physical spaces to digital experiences that people can access with a tap or scan. Businesses control the content, interactions and updates from one place, keeping information current without replacing physical materials or asking users to download an app.

Whether you run a venue, event, accommodation business, service operation or sales team, TAPP gives you one platform to share information, link to reviews and feedback, and connect physical interactions to digital experiences.

How TAPP works

From physical space to digital experience.

Five steps, one tap. Everything between the surface and the result is handled by TAPP.

  1. 01
    Physical space

    Any surface becomes a portal.

A TAPP device or label is placed in your environment: a room, table, badge, product or wall. This is your digital access point.

  2. 02
    Tap or scan

    One tap. Instant access.

The customer brings their phone close. No app download. No friction. The experience opens in their browser immediately.

  3. 03
    Digital experience

    The experience you designed.

TAPP delivers the right content, interaction or journey. It is branded, controlled by you and tailored to that physical moment.

  4. 04
    Customer action

    Help in the moment.

People can read information, follow links to leave a review or feedback, get in touch or find directions. Whatever the next step is for your business.

  5. 05
    Always current

    Update once, live instantly.

Change your content from the dashboard and it is live straight away, with no reprinting.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do my customers need to download an app?
No. People tap or scan a TAPP touchpoint and your page opens straight in their phone’s web browser. There is nothing to install, so the experience starts the moment they tap.
Which phones work with TAPP?

Tapping works on iPhone and Android phones that have NFC, which most modern smartphones include. On many Android phones NFC can be switched off, so it may need turning on in the phone’s settings.

TAPP pages can also be opened from a QR code with the phone’s camera, so people whose phones don’t tap can still get in.

Where on the phone should people tap?

It depends on the phone, so it helps to show people where to hold it.

  • iPhone: the NFC reader is generally toward the top of the phone. Hold the top edge near the TAPP tag, with the screen on and unlocked.
  • Android: placement varies by model. It is usually somewhere around the upper or middle part of the back of the phone.

If nothing happens, move the phone slowly over the tag and hold it still for a moment. Thick or metal phone cases can stop a tap from reading.

How do I update what people see?
Sign in to your TAPP account and edit the items on your Location, such as Wi-Fi details, notes, menus, lists, links and forms. When you publish, the change is live straight away for everyone who taps, with nothing to reprint.
Can I run TAPP across multiple locations?
Yes. You manage every Location from one account with consistent branding.
Which hardware should I choose?
It depends on where people will tap. Tags and plates suit walls, doors, tables and rooms. Stands suit reception desks, counters and tables. Cards and wristbands suit staff, networking and events. Tell us about your space and we’ll suggest a setup.
Can guests leave reviews or feedback?
Yes. Your page can link to the review sites you use and include feedback forms, so people can tell you how things went while they are still with you.
How do I get started?
Create your TAPP account, add your business details and set up your first Location. Preview your page, publish it when you are happy, and we supply and set up the TAPP tags or stands for your space. Get started or speak to us first.
